Submission Guide
- Official Selection: Films completed between September 2025 and early September 2026 are eligible for submission to the Busan International Film Festival official program.
- Asian Cinema Fund (ACF): Supports Asian independent filmmakers in producing feature films and documentaries with stable funding and resources.
- Asian Project Market (APM): A major Asian project market that connects directors and producers with co-producers and financiers.
- Platform BUSAN (PB): A networking platform that helps Asian independent filmmakers and industry professionals grow and collaborate.
Official Selection
- Film Length: Under 60 minutes; Short Film Competition limited to 30 minutes.
- Deadline: 2 June, 18:00 KST.
- Eligibility: Films must be completed between September 2025 and early September 2026.
- Restrictions: Short documentaries (Asian & Non-Asian) and Non-Asian short fiction films cannot be submitted.
- Resubmission: Films previously submitted but not selected will not be reconsidered.
- Submission Process: Fill out the online submission form and upload a screener (max 5GB) by the deadline.
- Subtitles: Films not in Korean or English must include burned-in subtitles.
- Screening Format: Selected films must be available in DCP, 35mm, or (Digi)Beta format.
- Premiere Priority: Preference given to World or International Premieres.
- Selection Results: Filmmakers will be notified by the end of August.
